How our various agencies supported the underserved populations in our community.
Tools4Schools: practical interventions for underserved students (homeless and group home fostered) as well as practical support for local Title One schools.

In the summer of 2018, MTI raised $8000.00 to provide 269 underserved students in Buena Park School District with personal school supplies, a new school uniform, and 90 needed backpacks.

MTI continues to provide ongoing practical support for teachers and students at Gilbert Elementary, Whittaker Elementary, and Pendleton Elementary schools in Buena Park (i.e., bi-monthly tissue box donations to classroom teachers; financial support for individual student needs; library purchases; teacher lounge upgrade and décor; special education student banquet costs, etc.)

In the summer of 2019, MTI not only hopes to raise funds to continue its support of the above-mentioned elementary schools but also hopes to provide for the remaining 220 homeless and foster students who attend Beatty Elementary, Emory Elementary, Corey Elementary and Buena Park Junior High School.

From 2015 to 2017, MTI donated protein food items to Fullerton City Lights (a low-income housing feeding program).

In 2018, MTI donated food cards and bus passes to City Net and Buena Park Police Department’s homeless task force for distribution to homeless clients endeavoring to better their circumstances.

In 2018, MTI began to offer parenting classes, marriage classes, and budgeting classes to underserved families and individuals.

In 2019, MTI purchased and assembled adult/child personal care kits and child activity kits for use at the Buena Park Community Resource Center.

In 2019, MTI will be donating funds to provide a weekly hot meal to underserved individuals in Buena Park.

In 2020, MTI seeks to establish a local food bank and to begin a weekly food distribution program for the underserved community in Buena Park.
